Taster day / basic training
There is no basic training.
The participants of the taster day meet at 9 a.m. in the touch and go… store:

Primary school participants can join in from 10 a.m. directly on the practice slope in Brunnen.

There is no high-altitude flight training.

Bring enough cash with you. The Urmibergbahn does not accept cards/Twint.
Urmiberg safety training – canceled
It is with a heavy heart that we have to cancel the weekend due to Föhn – both Saturday and Sunday.
As an alternative date, we suggest 11-12 October, provided there are enough participants.
If this does not suit you, you can also postpone your place to a date in the 2026 program.

One of your tasks as a student pilot is to learn how to plan your future flying days by evaluating the daily weather and airspace information. We can let you in on the secret: The best way to learn this is with training 🙂
1) Use our checklist to prepare yourself for a day of flying. Fill it out and bring it with you to the high-flights.
2) Compare your research with the instructor’s briefing and the facts you observe during the day. Make notes of the differences.
3) You will get better and better!
You must complete your airspace and weather briefing in the student area.
The information for the next training day will be published the evening before at 19:00. We plan the flight days according to your registrations. We ask you to register or cancel your registration for the next day in the student area by 18:00 at the latest.
