Why safety starts with habit
Safety is no coincidence. It comes from experience, discipline and respect for nature. In the Alps, the weather can change quickly – so routines are all the more important.
The 5 habits of safe pilots
- Conscious flight planning – weather, wind, landing sites: Leave nothing to chance.
- Being able to say no – staying on the ground is often the smartest decision.
- Regular training – safety training and ground handling keep you fit.
- Reflect on flights – After each flight, briefly analyze what went well and what went better.
- Keep humility – The Alps are mighty. Fly with respect, not with arrogance.
