Paraglider checks
and repairs
Annual check
Modern paragliding equipment is subject to continuous stress and therefore a continuous ageing process due to use in the air, wind, weather and handling at the take-off and landing site. To ensure the safety and optimum performance of your equipment, regular maintenance is essential. At touch and go… we make sure that your paraglider, harness and emergency parachute are always in top condition.
We at touch and go… work together with High Adventure, one of the leading paragliding service companies in Switzerland. Together we ensure that your equipment meets the highest standards. High Adventure works with the latest technology and many years of expertise to check your equipment thoroughly and carry out any necessary corrections and repairs professionally. With High Adventure’s specially developed rail check procedure, the current trim of your glider is precisely recorded so that deviations can be corrected quickly and reliably.

Maintenance intervals
To ensure the longevity and airworthiness of your equipment, we recommend the following intervals:
- Annual check / full inspection: Every 12 to 24 months, depending on the number of flying hours and the age of the glider.
- Emergency parachute check: Freshly pack every 6 months to guarantee functionality.
- Line and harness inspections: Regular inspections according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Porosity tests and UV resistance: Every 1-2 years, especially after frequent flying in extreme flight conditions.
The comprehensive 11-step full check
Your paraglider will undergo a thorough inspection at the High Adventure service center to ensure that it meets the manufacturer’s specifications and that you can fly without any worries. The check includes:
- Measurement of air permeability (porosity): The cloth is checked at various points with an air meter.
- Cloth strength test: We test the strength of the cloth in the area of the leading edge using a bed gauge.
- Checking the line strength (according to the manufacturer’s specifications): We test the strength of the lines to ensure that they can withstand the tensile forces.
- Checking the carrying straps: A visual and functional inspection of the straps to rule out wear or damage.
- Checking the connecting parts: All connecting parts such as carabiners, maillons and soft links are checked for functionality.
- Lines material check: We make sure that the material of your lines is in perfect condition.
- Inspection of the canopy material: Visual inspection of the wing for rips, holes or other defects.
- Measurement of line lengths: Precise measurement of the lines using the latest laser technology.
- Trim adjustment: Fine-tune the trim of your wing for optimum flying characteristics.
- Creating a test report: Once the check is complete, you will receive a detailed report with all the results.
- Applying the inspection stamp: After successful inspection and maintenance, your glider will be stamped with the official inspection stamp.
