What to expect
We visit the G-Force trainer in Engelbergertal in a closed group.
The aim of this training is to get to know and extend your physical limits. In an emergency and without training, situations with high centrifugal forces can have fatal consequences.
The spiral dive is also the key to many possibilities in paragliding. Whether for thermal and cross-country flying or as a basis for the SAT in all variations up to the initiation of infinity tumbling, there is no way around this maneuver.
It is more difficult for the body to tolerate a longer spiral of 3 g than short-term peak loads such as those that occur with some acro figures (up to approx. 6.5 g).
Take advantage of G-Force training to increase your safety!
Do not fear the "blackout"
In simulator training, it is possible to get to know the “blackout” and its preliminary stages and thus lose the fear of it. Because if it really happens, you are not immediately unconscious, you still have a short time to react. With a little practice, you can even take countermeasures until you can see something again without reducing your G-load. If you don’t know your limits and instinctively react with a “fearful stall” in flight, you can quickly lose your last chance, especially if the flight condition was not caused intentionally (e.g. after a collision or a stable spiral dive in the event of a hang-up). Experience has shown that this training method is very well tolerated physically. Day training has proven to be a good way of learning how to deal with G-forces. With this technique, the resistance of most pilots can be approximately doubled in one day, which means that the forces occurring in the spiral can be endured as a continuous load. This is crucial for using the spiral dive as a descent aid. It is then advisable to put the experience gained from the simulator training into practice as part of safety training or spiral training. At this point, you will be familiar with the centrifugal loads that occur and can concentrate on perfecting your entry and exit during safety training, which varies from glider to glider, without being surprised by unknown loads.

Requirements and expectations
The advantages of G-Force training
- Learn under real but controlled conditions, with your own harness and helmet
- Limitation of the maximum G-load to any value
- Preparing and practicing procedures in difficult emergency situations (risk of blackout in the event of unintentionally induced centrifugal forces, e.g. autorotation-spiral after being caught or collision)
- Observation up close: Mistakes or carelessness in the stressful situation do not remain hidden and can therefore be corrected and consolidated in the process
The training program on the "G-Force-Trainer" is divided into the following sections
- Theoretical basics
- Hazard briefing and technical instruction on the training device
- Simulator training with increased G-load with individual adjustment to the pilot and learning the anti-G-straining maneuver
- Learning the movement sequences for entering and exiting the spiral dive with error analysis
- Optimization of the harness settings (if necessary)
- Getting to know your physical limits until you start to black out
- Extending the limits with the "Anti-G training maneuver" technique
- Training on how to reach the rescue equipment under centrifugal load with release
- Evaluation with debriefing
