The cross-country seminar and cross-country days are perfect for pilots like you who want to extend their skills to longer flights. It’s not just about staying in the air, but also about mastering the art of successful cross-country flying and broadening your flying horizons.

We will work on the basic requirements for cross-country flying. Our lesson covers everything from the basics of cross-country flying to advanced techniques and flight planning. In addition to the right choice of equipment and flying instruments, we will deal with topics such as thermal utilization, (valley) wind systems, flight route planning, weather analysis and development as well as safety strategies – everything you need to set and achieve your own flying goals safely and confidently.

We introduce tried-and-tested planning tools to plan individual routes that are tailored to the participants. We discuss based on an example how we can best manage the route:

• • Where are possible thermal hotspots on our route?
  • Where are the key points?
  • How much height do we need for valley crossings?
  • And where can I land?
  • and much more.
