SIV – Simulation d’Incident en Vol – Simulating Situations in Flight
SIKU – Safety course, paraglider safety training
Paragliding safety training is not a test of courage. On the contrary, the goal of a SIV is to expand your comfort zone in flying.
When done right, you can fly more relaxed with your newly learned skills and of course have more fun in the air!
To achieve this, we will learn and practice the following in SIV:
- How to react correctly in extreme flight situations. We practice the reaction and the right timing.
- When and how you use the parachute.
- We practice maneuvers at your level: flaps, pitch, rolls, fast descent maneuvers, stalls, freestyle elements.
- You learn more about mental attitude and your limits. Finally, we will expand your comfort zone.
- During the safety training we practice in a controlled environment: with a safety boat, life jacket, radio communication and professional coaching.

Gabor Kezi is your safety training coach. He is a former paragliding aerobatic champion, Swiss paragliding flight instructor, specialized in SIVs and coach of the Swiss cross country flight league.

Safety training SHV
Gabor Kezi is “Safety Trainer-SHV”. This means that the content and infrastructure of this training are tested by the SHV. This gives our SIKUs the label “Safety Training SHV”.
